Kindle WiFi, Kindle 3G + WiFi and the Kindle DX are amazing gifts. This comparison will help you decide which model is the right one for you. My recommendation would be the Kindle 3G + WiFi over the Kindle WiFi. The reason is that you wouldn't be limited to accessing the internet through a public wifi network but could access the internet from virtually anywhere.
Choosing between the Kindle 3G + WiFi and the Kindle DX is purely a matter of screen size since both the Kindle DX and the Kindle 3G + WiFi offer 3G and WiFi service. The larger screen size of the Kindle DX is a nice feature but results in a slightly heavier unit. If you're planning on holding the Kindle DX in one hand to read, it may prove more tiring than the Kindle 3G + WiFi.
